The Impact Geothermal Wireline Intensifier increases downhole jarring energy and protects against shock damage. Like two tools in one, the Wireline Intensifier functions as an acceleration tool or as a shock absorber, depending on where it is positioned in the tool string.

Wireline jars rely on stored energy from both internal springs and in the stretched wireline to create impact forces. If additional energy is required, the Wireline Intensifier is placed above the jar to increase the energy storage capacity of the system using a powerful spring stack.

When placed below the rope socket, the spring stack absorbs shocks from below, protecting the rope socket and wireline from damage.
